Evaluation of Sweden’s Democracy and Human Rights Policy Within Development Cooperation


WHAT WE DID

SADEV, the Swedish government-funded agency for development evaluation, was tasked by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to evaluate and provide information about the results of Swedish-funded democracy and human rights (D/HR) projects undertaken in Serbia in the period 2000-2009, and provide feedback for future Swedish D/HR development country strategy planning for that country. Serbia was selected as an example country for Eastern Europe. A similar study was done in parallel, in Kenya and Guatemala.

ACTIVITIES

Prepared and participated in meetings with key Serbian stakeholders

Reviewed project documentation, reports and background materials

Analyzed findings and data

Reviewed and revised evaluation comments of SADEV team members

Provided substantial contribution to the preparation of the final report
